Below you will find a list of Lodge Rules as well as General Reserve Rules.

  • The lodge is fully self-catering.
  • Please do not leave any valuables unattended in your unit and close and lock the lodge securely when leaving it unattended.
  • No liability is accepted.
  • No open fires are permitted except at designated areas at the lodges and communal entertainment areas on the reserve.
  • Ensure all fires are totally extinguished after use.
  • Animals are roaming freely on the resort – please adhere to the speed limits.
  • Speed limit on tar road is 40 km/h and on unpaved roads (game viewing and camp roads) 20 km/h.
  • All persons driving a vehicle on Mabalingwe roads must have a valid driver’s license.
  • All vehicles must stay on the demarcated roads. No off-road driving allowed.
  • Please do not feed the animals.
  • Please keep our environment clean, use the litter bins that are provided.
  • Please respect all animals, trees, plants and birds and do not remove anything out of its natural habitat. This includes fishing, hunting and the collection of firewood. No excavation or removal of any soil is allowed.
  • Swimming is restricted to pools only. No swimming allowed in any dam or river.
  • All children must be supervised by an adult at the pools on the reserve and at the lodge.
  • Please respect the “NO ENTRY’ signs on the Reserve.
  • All guests must sign the Mabalingwe indemnity form.
